What’s Included?
Professional scalpel handle “Ricardo’s Pen,” developed in collaboration with Brazilian soft tissue specialist Dr. Ricardo Kern. The 15 cm long, round grip is made of biocompatible PEEK in signal orange (Orange Spine series) and features a delicate, precision-machined housing for standard blades (#3 shank).
Usage and Benefits
- Pen Ergonomics: Pen-shaped design for maximum fine motor control and ergonomics during tunneling, incision, and microplastic techniques.
- Material: PEEK: PEEK is lighter than steel, remains stable under steam sterilization, and is heat-resistant up to 400 °C. The surface is easy to clean. It is also BPA-free and resistant to disinfectants.
- Function: Modified fine housing locks standard blades of figures 10–15C. The tapered, delicate design of the housing allows easier handling when harvesting soft tissue grafts.
- Signature Design: Part of the “Orange Spine Series,” inspired and designed by Dr. Ricardo Kern.
